Pompeii Night Club Soon to be Seeing its Final Days

Throggs Neck is known for its long strip of bars which can be found full of people on a Friday or Saturday night. But recently the night club industry has been trying to make an appearance in the neighborhood. One of these new up and coming clubs is Pompeii. It is located on East Tremont Avenue surrounded by well known tattoo parlors and cultural restaurants. The club has several different venues throughout the week, such as karaoke night, ladies night, and themed parties.

But recently this new, hip, and trendy night club has been nothing but a problem for the community. Just recently this past summer it was closed for a few weeks due to i.d issues in which the bouncer and owner were allowing under aged girls to go and drink with no restrictions. The police were called several times for fights, people drunk in public, and  in one case a man who was stabbed in front of the night club.

I believe along with several of the residents of the area that it is best for the community if the night club was closed for good. Throggs Neck just isn't a place for night clubs, its traditional pubs and bars are what the community is known for and comfortable with.
