What's that smell? A meth lab?

Last week I was driving to school when I noticed a large crowd, fire trucks, ESU truck, and police cars surrounding a house on the corner. I decided to drive down the block and see what all the fuss was about. I started to ask the surrounding neighbors, who stories varied from a robbery to a mass murder scene. About after ten minutes when I arrived there, the officers escorted the owner of the house out and into the squad car. The officers then began taking large coolers and boxes out of the house. I tried my best to see what might be in the boxes but the crowd was large and the officers were preventing people from trying to get a better look. Later that day I decide to do my own investigation of the incident. I asked my father if he could ask some of the officers who responded to the scene. Apparently the owner of the house was dealing crystal meth out of his house. The house was equipped with supplies, scales, packing, and fully operating meth lab in the basement. I wanted to write about the incident earlier in the week but I received new information about this story last night from an anonymous source.

The owner of the house has been linked to the Russian mob through a detailed and intense ongoing investigation. I was shocked by this information and did not know what to make of it. I intend to interview the nearby neighbors to see what their opinion is and whether they think long time residents will begin to move. My question is, what is the beautiful neighborhood of Throggs Neck coming to?
