Saint Francis De Chantal hosts their annual Halloween parade every year, hosts a trick or treat fundraiser, and raffle prize. The people in charge of organizing the event and raising money are the parents on school's PTA. Unfortunately this year the school may not be hosting their event due to corruption in association. It has been reported that one of student's mother on the board, took all of the money from the fundraiser and the money collected for the raffle prize for her personal expenses.
The mother used the money to pay for a vacation, new car, and various spa trips. The school has taken action in the matter and has asked the mother to resign her seat on the board. But the topic that is causing the most controversy is that the school's administration has decided to also to ask the child of the mother not to return to the school.
In my opinion I believe this unfair and the child should not be punished for the mother's wrong doing. The community plans on discussing this matter in the next town meeting. I plan on attending this meeting and will be sure to keep you posted on this outrageous situation.
